Laurie Wren, LCSW, Founder & Director

Licensed Clinical Social Worker,

Your story matters!  I have been helping hurting people find hope and change since 1998. Having experienced pain in my own life, I know the urgent need for the hope that either “things can be different,” or, if not, at least I can feel differently. At times all of our lives seem like messy rooms, and we need someone to help us find our sense of clarity.

I see individuals, couples, families and groups regarding various life issues. My approach is forthright, moving at your pace, involving your input. I work with couples, individuals and groups. Some of the topics I see the most include anxiety, relationship conflict, difficulty communicating, depression, trauma, life transition, stress and emotional fitness.

I graduated from Florida State University with a MSW degree in Clinical Social Work.  My Bachelor of Science degree is from Southwest Missouri State University. My counseling style has been influenced by leaders in the field, professors from my graduate school, as well as my own interpretation of my client’s best interests.  I view counseling as a passion and a profession. When you come here, your story and your privacy will be respected.

Life circumstances can cause a jolt to even the most balanced person. Perhaps you are looking for a way for things to be different. Do you long to develop relational intimacy and deeper connections in your life or restore what has been broken? Are some things still upsetting or hard to work through ? You are not alone and there is hope.

Once you take that first courageous step, you are already making a decision to be in a better place. My goal is to work with you for a better outcome, outlook, and healing. Counseling is much different than friendly advice. Therapeutic counseling can help increase self-awareness and work to bring about change. I see individuals, couples, parents, singles and teens. My approach is to work at your pace helping you to achieve your goals. Some of the topics I see most include, relationship issues, parenting, past childhood wounds, self-esteem, shame, depression, stress and learning new coping skills.

I graduated from Rollins College in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and in 2010 from Asbury Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts degree in Counseling. I have been married to my best friend for six years and we have two amazing sons who bring outrageous joy in the most unexpected ways.

I offer professional counseling, coaching, and mentoring for families, couples, adults, and teens. It’s my hope that every individual I counsel feels heard, understood, and leaves with a greater sense of clarity, hope, and healing. Some common issues I treat are: anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, grief and loss, body-image issues, cutting/self-injury, codependency, and marital and premarital counseling . I have a heart for counseling women, especially teen girls and young women. It brings such joy to see young women find their self-worth, learn and begin to implement healthy ways to cope, identify what a healthy dating relationship and a healthy friendship look like, and build stronger relationships with their families and their peers.

A little about me and my approach to therapy: I view myself as your teammate. I come alongside you and team with you to accomplish the goals you have. I offer you tools to utilize in order to accomplish your goals, and will help you identify and overcome barriers and areas of growth that may be needed to get you to the outcome you desire. Sometimes this means offering you new ways of communicating, relating, and thinking. If you feel “stuck,” it means that I get to help you become “unstuck.” If you feel confused, it means I get to help you sort out all of the conflicting emotions, thoughts, and fears to help you gain clarity. It truly is a team effort!

Before becoming a counselor at Reveille Counseling I provided therapy to families, adults, and children in various settings, from group homes to a college campus, to elementary and middle schools, to people’s living rooms, to foster homes. I bring all of these experiences with me to Reveille Counseling. I earned my degrees from the University of Central Florida with a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies.

While I am not in the counseling room, you can find me planning my next international adventure (I love all things travel, and if I wasn't a counselor I would probably be a travel agent), exploring new restaurants around Central Florida with my husband, or spending time with my large Italian family.

Melanie Mason, MS, LMFT

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, MT3456

I believe that we all want to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives, and yet we often get stuck. We repeat old patterns that may have worked in the past, but now limit our ability to reach our full potential, both personally and in our relationships with others. With a little help, we often become more aware of what is holding us back, and begin to remove or work around these obstacles.

My approach is collaborative and strength-based. I will help you find solutions that empower you to create the life you want and deserve, in a safe and non-judgmental environment. I see individuals (adults, adolescents, and children), couples, families, and groups. Some of my specialties include recovering from infidelity, health-related issues (weight, smoking, disease), single parenting, divorce recovery, and blended families.

I am trained in EMDR therapy for mild to severe emotional disturbances.

I graduated with honors from Capella University with a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2015. I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of Mississippi, and can also provide health or life coaching. I recently re-married and have four children and two step-children. In my free time I love being outdoors either playing with our dog, salt water fishing, or gardening.
